With a fantastic winter booking season coming to a close we are now preparing for the summer booking period. We encourage all operators to take a moment and check their rates are correctly setup in BookIt. Its easy by following these 3 simple steps after you have logged into BookIt at http://business.bookit.co.nz:

Ensure you have valid rate seasons allowing customers to make bookings at least 365 days in advance (a rate season allows you to set different pricing for different times of year - e.g. summer and winter rates)
Click "Product Setup"
Choose "Edit business" next to your business name
Click "Rate seasons"
You can check your existing rate seasons or add a new rate season. Make sure you don't have any overlapping rate seasons

Check each of your products has a valid rate
Click "Product Setup"
Choose "Edit products" next to your business name
For each product, click "Rates" (this will display a list of your rate seasons and the rate for each rate season)
Ensure each rate season is "enabled" and has a rate

"Block" dates that are already sold out using the Inventory Manager
Click "Inventory Manager"
Beside each product name click "Change daily availability and rates"
Use the "<" and ">" buttons to navigate to the appropiate month
Click and drag to select a range of days
Tick "block out these dates"
